Author Guidelines

At OpenMed Research, we aim to simplify scientific communication by empowering authors from all backgrounds. Whether you're submitting a clinical study, visual abstract, or narrated PowerPoint, we welcome diverse formats and encourage creativity, without unnecessary hurdles.

✅ General Submission Requirements
Requirement Details
Language
Submissions should be in clear English. Non-native speakers are welcome.
Originality
Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere.
Ethics Approval
Required for human/animal studies; IRB or equivalent must be cited.
Conflict of Interest
All authors must declare relevant conflicts.
Data Availability
Provide links to datasets if applicable, or describe access limitations.
Preprints
Preprint submissions are welcome. Clearly note the repository link.

Waiver & Discount Policy

We provide waivers and discounts to support global access to publication, especially from underserved or underfunded regions.

We are committed to equitable publishing access.

Full Waiver Eligibility

  • Corresponding author from a low-income country (World Bank classification)
  • Patient- or caregiver-led submissions without institutional support
  • Global health emergency or rapid-response submissions

Partial Waiver (30%–70%)

  • Authors from lower-middle-income countries
  • Early-career researchers (within 5 years of terminal degree)
  • Authors from public institutions with limited funding

Authors publishing multiple papers within 12 months

How to Apply

During submission, simply check the waiver request box. No lengthy justifications required.
